The TEFL Heaven China Internship!
This program includes a flexible training course combining a 100 hours of online training, coupled with 20 hours of classroom training in China, resulting in a 120 TESOL qualification. Also included in this program is UK based intensive training about Chinese Language and Chinese Culture which takes place in Cardiff, and this includes:
2 hour induction
8 hours of classroom projection
10 hours of Chinese language
5 hours of culture and classroom training
TESOL stands for Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages and is one of the most established and long running qualifications having been founded in 1966 with the aim of advancing the level of professional expertise in English language learning worldwide.
Having completed this training you will have a firm foundation upon which to begin a successful and rewarding career as a worldwide teacher of the English language. You will have a strong understanding of English grammar and a knowledge of the various methodologies and skills behind teaching English, as well as having experienced teaching real students in a classroom environment. Your confidence will be high and you will be ready to embrace the next stage of your adventure!
As part of this program you will receive a guaranteed paid teaching job in China, and depending upon your selected start date your teaching placement will be between 4 and 6 months, with the opportunity to extend your stay by a further 6 months to a year. Your salary will be 3000 RMB per month which will enable you to live comfortably. In return you'll be expected to teach 20 hours per week (50 minute periods), teaching all aspects of English though largely focussing on the spoken word and listening skills. You will be required to plan and coordinate various lessons and activities to achieve this. These placements will be in the Jiangsu and Henan provinces of China.
One of the best things about this program from a financial investment perspective is that the majority of the initial cost is actually reimbursed through your salary whilst you’re still in China. All of the training cost and cost of the flights will be reimbursed upon completion of the teaching contract. On top of this your accommodation will be completely free of charge during your entire teaching placement.
