Local Authority Case Study
"The project resulted in cost savings and allowed for a more business focused proactive approach to health."
Results >
As a result of the project Occupational Health became a department within the Local Authority and not an add on service. Policies and procedures were introduced which met best practice guidelines and were evidence based.
The Occupational Health department resources were more effectively utilised and objectives and service level agreements were introduced.
The Local Authority received monthly reports which provided information for the first time on health trends which enabled them to more effectively manage and be proactive about improving health in the Authority. The project resulted in cost savings and allowed for a more business focused proactive approach to health.
