Today we escaped London and headed to a lovely town called Lewes.
Our friends had told us about this beautiful place with a lovely high street, a castle, amazing views, etc. So originally we were going to check out the whole area in one day! As spring barn farm is a good 25 min walk from the station in the opposite direction of the town center, we thought we hit the farm first and check out Lewes afterwards. Little did we know... Fooled buy a little city farm in our local area we thought it would only be 45 min max until we head back to the town center.
We walked for about 25 min from the station soaking up the autumn sunshine and scenery.
Once we arrived it was clear, we were spending the rest of the day here! This place is huge and even has it's own restaurant.
As it was already lunch time as we arrived our first stop was the restaurant and we were in for a treat!
British comfort food at it's best! The kids menu was great too and Teddy went for "Pesto Pasta with cheese".
After feeding and cleaning the team it was finally time to hit the farm! We saw lots of different animals indoors and outdoors. Little guinea pigs, bunnies, ponies, donkeys, chicken, and many more live on the farm and love some attention.
The outdoor play area is suitable for all ages and beautifully set between the animals. We had lots of fun on the swings, slides, zip line, bouncy bubbles and Teddy especially loved the tractors.
Towards the end we headed to the indoor soft play which again was just amazing. It's got lots of separate areas for children of different ages. I can't wait for Teddy to be a bit bigger so we can hit the huge slides!
Sadly we came right in-between seasons so we missed the Halloween set-up and were too early for the Christmas one. Oh well, we'll just have to come again HAHA!
Have you ever been here before? Or have we inspired you to go? I'd love to hear all about it!
Also, if anyone has any tips or ideas on what do to or places to check out with little ones, please let me know.
Lots of love,
Sarah-Jane
