SOME MORE GREAT EXAMPLES OF ROLLOVER
You know the deal by now, we’ve been checking out our databases in search of people doing great things with rollover! Without further ado here’s our pick of the week.
We’ve started this showcase of with Altec Construction who have been using rollover to jazz up the images they’ve used for their services and accolades. They’ve pulled this off using the Pop Out effect from the classic pack, so if you’re interested in pulling off this effect be sure to check it out.
Next up is the Vine Quartet. They’ve used thee old reliable Crossfade for their rollover but we very much like how they’ve utilised it. It’s a simple look they’ve gone for, a list of instruments with player introductions on rollover and jumbled up dates which unjumble and stretch on a sweep of the mouse. Simple but effective. Plus the addition of links to the schedule rollovers is a big plus!
Finishing this video is a sort of cheat inclusion as the reason we like is not for the rollover aspect. What Amy Schigel has done for her portfolio is combining Rollover Image Effects with an animated text effect. So when you scroll down the page text with a snippet for the image scrolls in from the side and over the rollover using the Jasmine effect. Now the reason we like is that it’s fun to see our users experimenting with combining rollover with different applications for a more overall effect.
